Reload Scrips


What is Scrip List ?
When you start PIB, the application loads a list of scrips that are available for trading in NSE and BSE. It can be referred to as Scrip List.

What do you mean by Reload Scrips ?
Reload Scrips feature lets you reload the scrip list available in your PIB. This feature comes useful in a scenario when any new scrip gets listed during the course of market day and you wish to trade in it. Or probably, there is a change in the particular scrip but it is currently not visible in your Market Watch.

In such scenarios, you can click on Reload Scrips option given in File Menu. Once scrip update gets over, PIB displays you a message indicating the successful update of your scrip list.

Under what circumstances should I use Reload Scrips feature ?
Reload Scrips feature is ideal to use under the following circumstances:

  1. Today, new scrip is added for trading in the market but you are not able to view it on your Market Watch window.

  2. You are not able to view certain scrips in your Market Watch. Though, it is unlikely, but one can try this option in such scenario.
