Exercise Modify /Delete


What are Pending Exercises ?
Pending Exercises refer to those option contracts for which exercise request have been placed by the Options Buyer but are yet to be exercised.

About Exercise Modify / Delete
Exercise Modify / Delete feature displays a list of your pending exercises.

View Exercise Details
Here, you can view a list of your Pending Exercises along with the related details. These include:

  1. Reference No – It displays the reference number of the corresponding exercise.

  2. Exercise No – It displays the exercise number given by the exchange with respect to corresponding exercise.

  3. Symbol - It displays the underlying scrip of the corresponding Options contract.

  4. Expiry Date – It displays the expiry date of the corresponding Options contract.

  5. Strike Price – It displays the strike price of the corresponding contract.

  6. Options Type - It displays the options type of the corresponding contract. There are four Options type - 'CA' indicates Call American, 'CE' indicates Call European, 'PA' indicates Put American and 'PE' indicates Put European.

  7. LTP – It displays the last traded price of the corresponding options contract.

  8. Request – It displays the quantity requested by you for the corresponding Options contract.

  9. Change Qty to – This field lets you change the quantity that you request to exercise. You can double-click on this field to edit the quantity that you wish to exercise.

  10. Exercise – This field displays whether you opt to exercise the corresponding contract or not to exercise the contract. To exercise the contract, keep this field checked. Alternatively, if you do not want to exercise the corresponding contract, keep this field unchecked.

  11. Modify – You can click this button to update the contract details, in case you have made any changes to it. On clicking, PIB asks you to reconfirm the contract. Click on 'Ok' button to approve the changes. Note! The system will ask you to enter Transaction Password, if you haven't entered it as yet after logging into PIB.

  12. Delete – You can click on this button to delete the corresponding exercise request. Note! The system will ask you to enter Transaction Password, if you haven't entered it as yet after you logged into PIB.

Note! Transaction Password is a one time entry and protects your Trading accounts from unauthorized access. In other words, PIB will only ask you only once to enter the Transaction Password after you log into PIB.


Add-on Features

  1. Print - You can take a print out of the Exercise Modify Delete table by clicking on ‘Print’ button.

  2. Export -  You can download the given details in your PC by clicking on ‘Export’ button. These details will be downloaded in csv format.

  3. Synch - You can click on ‘Synch’ button to synchronize /update the Exercise Modify / Delete table.
