Reload FNO Contracts


What is Contract List ?
When you start PIB, the application loads a list of Futures and Options contracts that are available in PIB for trading for 'NSE' or 'BSE' exchange. It can be referred to as Contracts List.

What do you mean by Reload Contracts ?
Reload FNO Contracts feature allows you to reload the contracts list available in your PIB for 'NSE' or 'BSE' exchange. This feature comes useful in a scenario when any new contract gets added during the course of market day or there is a change in the particular contract which is currently not visible in your Market Watch.

In such circumstances, you can click on Reload Contracts option given in File Menu. Once contracts get reloaded, PIB displays you the relevant message.

Under what circumstances should I use Reload FNO Contracts feature ?
Reload Contracts feature is ideal to use under the following circumstances:

  1. Today, new contract in NSE/BSE is added for trading in the market but you are not able to view it on your Market Watch window.

  2. You are not able to view certain contracts in your Market Watch. Though, it is unlikely, but one can try this option in such scenario.
