Exercise Request


Exercise Request feature lets you place exercise requests for those Options contracts in which you have taken long positions (Buy Options Contract) in the market.

Here, you can view a list of Options Contracts along with the related details. These include:

  1. Symbol - It displays scrip’s symbol.

  2. Expiry Date - It displays the expiry date of the corresponding contract.

  3. Option Type – It displays the option type. There are four Options type - 'CA' indicates Call American, 'CE' indicates Call European, 'PA' indicates Put American and 'PE' indicates Put European.

  4. Strike Price – It displays the strike price of the corresponding contract.

  5. LTP – It displays the latest market price at which the corresponding contract was traded.

  6. Open Position – It displays the number of scrips that are yet to be exercised in the corresponding contract. Note! The value does not include number of positions for which request is sent but are yet to be exercised.

  7. Exercise Requested On – It displays the number of positions for which exercise request is sent.

  8. Do not Exercise Requested On – It displays the number of positions for which 'Do not Exercise' request is sent. 'Do not Exercise' request is used when you want to close the given Options contract without exercising it.

  9. Request - You can click on this field to enter the quantity that you wish to exercise / do not exercise.

  10. Exercise – To exercise the contract, keep this field checked. Alternatively, if you do not want to exercise the corresponding contract, reset this field to uncheck.

  11. Action – You can click on ‘OK’ button to place 'exercise' / 'Do not exercise' request for the corresponding contract.

How to Exercise a Contract ?
To exercise a contract, follow the steps given below:
  1. Enter the scrip quantity that you want to exercise in Request field.

  2. Select /check the Exercise field.

  3. Click on ‘OK’ button to place exercise request for the corresponding contract.

How to "Do Not Exercise" a Contract ?
To "Do not exercise" a contract, follow the steps given below:
  1. Enter the scrip quantity that you want to exercise in Request field.

  2. Deselect /uncheck the Exercise field.

  3. Click on ‘OK’ button to place 'Do not exercise' request for the corresponding contract.

Add-on Features
  1. Print - You can take a print out of the Exercise Request table by clicking on ‘Print’ button.

  2. Export -  You can download the given exercise requests details in your PC by clicking on ‘Export’ button. These details will be downloaded in csv format.

  3. Synch - You can click on ‘Synch’ button to synchronize /update the exercise request table.
