In the new version of PIB you can simply add CAP scrips by SECURITY FILTER BAR:

Insert scrips / indices in your Market Watch
In security Filter Bar , you need to follow the following steps to insert security into the Market Watch:

  1. Select Exchange from Dropdown list .

  2. Select Segment CM .

  3. You can also add the Commodity Symbol by selecting exchange as MCX/NCDEX and their respective symbols. .

  4. Select scrip from the list .

  5. Press Enter or Click “Insert” .


For older version you can use Insert Row CAP option to add a new scrip /index in your Market Watch. PIB displays you the following window when you click on this option:

PIB provides you three ways to add scrips or indices in your Market Watch.

I Select & Add
One easy way is to select the scrips/indices that you wish to add (Press Ctrl button in case of multiple selections) and click on 'OK' button to add them in your Market Watch.

II Search & Add
Second way is to search the desired scrip/index by first filtering the list and then add them in your Market Watch. The steps for this procedure are as follows:

  1. Type - To begin with, choose whether you wish to add scrip or an index. To add scrip, choose 'Scrips' from the Type drop-down box. Similarly to add an Indian index / World Index, choose 'Index' from the drop-down box.

  2. Exchange - Next, choose the exchange of which you wish to add scrips/indices. In case you wish to add Global Indices, select 'WI' option.

  3. Enter Scrip/Index Name- You can enter the scrip/index name in the text box provided. PIB will match it and display you the related records. Note! You can leave this field blank if you do not know the exact scrip/Index name.

  4. Add Scrips - Once records are displayed, you can select the desired ones (Press Ctrl button in case of multiple selections) and click on 'OK' button to add them in your Market Watch. Note! PIB displays records on the basis of your set criteria. The moment you make changes to any field, PIB displays you the related records instantly.

Note! You can reset fields to their default values by clicking on 'Reset Search' button.

III Advanced Search & Add
Third way is to use Advanced Search options like Scrip Code, Exchange Symbol, Company Name, etc to search the scrips. This option can be accessed by clicking on 'Advanced' button. On clicking this button, PIB displays you the following window:

The search options available are:

  1. Exchange Symbol - You can enter the exchange symbol of the scrip in this field.

  2. Scrip Code - You can enter the scrip code in this field.

  3. Category - In this field, you can specify whether the desired scrips belong to 'A' category or 'Z' category.

  4. Margin Allowed - In this field, you can specify whether Margin Trading is allowed in the desired scrips or not.

  5. Exchange - In this field, you can specify the exchange to which the scrips belong to.

  6. Scrip - In this field, you can enter the scrip name (or the Hint word).

  7. Company - In this field, you can enter the company name.

  8. Search - Once you enter the details, click on 'Search' button. On clicking, PIB works on your set criteria (explained above) and displays you the related records. Note! You can use any or all the options mentioned above to search desired scrips.

  9. Add Scrips - Once records are displayed, you can select /check the desired records and click on 'Submit' button to add them in your Market Watch.
